San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris made her run for re-election official on Wednesday, filing nomination paperwork at City Hall's Department of Elections.

Potential challengers have until Friday to declare their candidacies. Although there are no other candidates yet, Jim Stearns, who is running Harris' campaign, said Wednesday, "It would be very un-San Francisco not to have a race for district attorney."

Harris was flanked by a diverse array of supporters Wednesday, including Tim Paulson of the San Francisco Labor Council, Leon Chow of the Chinese Progressive Association, and former supervisor and city assessor Doris Ward.
Harris' campaign workers handed out press releases boasting a long list of endorsements, including Sen. Dianne Feinstein, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and nine members of the Board of Supervisors. The only supervisors not listed were Ross Mirkarimi and Ed Jew. Harris has charged Jew with nine felonies over questions of his residency.
